Barrington Brothers, led by Arthur and Kenneth Barrington, announced the opening of The Kavista, a 282-unit apartment community in the Village of El Portal in Miami-Dade County. The Kavista is Barrington Brothers’ fourth development in the area.

“We are excited to introduce our newest residential project in the Village of El Portal. Kavista’s prime location promises a modern living experience tailored to the growing needs of the community,” said Kenneth Barrington, Managing Director.

The ribbon cutting ceremony was well attended and guests of honor included El Portal Mayor Omarr C. Nickerson, PhD; Vice Mayor Luis Pirela; and Village Manager Christia Aloum, Esq. Also present were representatives from the office of Miami-Dade County Commissioner Keon Hardemon, including Misty X. Brown, Chief of Staff; Marcus Barfield, County Coordinator; and Rosenny Augustine Jean-Louis, Intergovernmental Affairs Coordinator.

“We are excited to welcome this new development to our diverse community, which reflects our unwavering commitment to embracing change while remaining rooted in our rich heritage,” said Nickerson. “As the Village of El Portal continues to grow, we are prepared to meet the challenges of a growing village while honoring the unique history and cherished values that make it extraordinary.”

Kavista is an eight-story apartment building located at 471 NE 83 St. in one of the city’s most historic and up-and-coming neighborhoods. It offers one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments ranging from 51 to 104 square meters.

Barrington Brothers has worked closely with the Village of El Portal to bring high-quality housing to this growing neighborhood and prepare El Portal for the future. The Village has experienced a continuing renaissance as the area attracts a diverse population from neighboring areas such as Miami Shores, West Little River, the Miami Design District and Wynwood.

The interior of the apartments features modern accents, including quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances, washers and dryers. The pet-friendly community also offers a wide range of amenities, such as 351 parking spaces, a resort-style pool and deck, an outdoor barbecue area with seating, co-working spaces, a theater, a fitness center and electric vehicle charging stations.

Additionally, the interior courtyard and landscaped area create a bird-friendly environment filled with a variety of trees and plants that attract a wide range of popular bird species. The interior colours and furnishings at Kavista Hotel are accentuated by earthy tones, reminiscent of lush green meadows and smooth, sandy landscapes.

“We are pleased to deliver Barrington Brothers’ newest multifamily project in the historic El Portal neighborhood,” said Al Fernandez, CEO of ANF Group. “This project is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team, and we look forward to contributing to this growing neighborhood.”

Kavista is located within a five-minute walk of numerous community amenities, including grocery stores, restaurants, fitness centers and Biscayne Medical Center. The property is also located near major thoroughfares, taking advantage of access to Biscayne Boulevard (US1), SR-934 and I-95, connecting residents to over 60 million square feet of office and retail space in the Greater Miami area. Barrington Brothers has developed and maintained three 190-unit multifamily housing developments across the street from The Kavista.

The Kavista Design Team is the general contractor of ANF Group and the architectural and design firm MODIS Architects.
