Tasha Announces New Album, Shares New Single “The Beginning”

Chicago-born artist Tasha has announced a new album, All this and much more. Continuation from 2021. Tell me what you miss the most will be released on September 20th on Bayonet Records. In addition to the previously released song “Michigan,” it features the new single “The Beginning.” Check it out below and scroll down to see the LP’s cover and tracklist.

“As one of the first songs I wrote for the album, ‘The Beginning’ feels like an introduction to the journey of self-discovery I found myself on throughout the coming year (and consequently the songs that emerged),” Tasha explained in a statement. “While the song deals with uncertainty, sadness, and the desire for connection, the first line – ‘This isn’t the end, this is just the beginning’ – captures a sense of hope and possibility that I was still reaching for after all of this. For me, it’s the lingering excitement at the end of Greg Uhlmann’s swirling guitar solo outro – it can be hard to see it in the moment, but great endings are so often the beginning of adventures you haven’t even begun to imagine.”

Tasha wrote a new album in 2022-2023, just before being cast in IllinoisTony Award-winning Broadway adaptation of Sufjan Stevens’ musical IllinoisRead our Artist Spotlight interview with Tasha.
