‘American Sports Story,’ ‘Old Man’ Season 2 Premiere Dates Set FX

FX has announced premiere dates for many of its new and returning shows, including American Sports Story: Aaron Hernandez.

The latest installment of the “American Story” franchise will debut on FX with the first two episodes on September 17 at 10:00 PM ET/PT. Episodes will be available to stream on Hulu the following day, and the series will stream globally on Disney+. As previously reported, the limited series will explore the rise and fall of Hernandez, who was a tight end for the NFL’s New England Patriots before being convicted of murder. Josh Andrés Rivera will play Hernandez.

FX also announced that Season 2 of “The Old Man” will premiere on September 12 at 10 p.m. ET/PT, with the first two of eight episodes airing. The episodes will be available to stream on Hulu the following day, and the series will stream worldwide on Disney+. The first season of “The Old Man,” with a cast that includes Jeff Bridges and John Lithgow, debuted in 2022.

The latest documentary in The New York Times Presents series premieres on FX on August 23 at 10pm ET/PT.

The new comedy series The English Teacher, created by and starring Brian Jordan Alvarez, premieres on September 2 at 10:00 PM ET/PT. The first two episodes will re-air the following day on Hulu and worldwide on Disney+.

Finally, the new docuseries Social Studies premieres September 27 at 10:00 PM ET/PT on FX with the first two episodes of the five-part series. All episodes will stream the following day on Hulu. The series will be available on Disney+ worldwide in select countries at a later date.
